Gated
Gated Charging Mode
A setting administrators can make for a venue in Chargifi Deploy app.
The venue requires users who wish to avail themselves of wireless charging services to download an app first before they can unlock the Spot and begin wirelessly charging their device.
-
Installation Manager
A business role that can be assigned to a general user account in Chargifi Cloud and is an individual who is responsible for managing the installation.
They have been assigned a particular job by their administrator and can view only what has been shared with them.
They are able to create additional accounts for their installation team and assign jobs to their installers.
When a job is complete, they are required to submit it as ‘complete’ so that the managed service provider (MSP admin) knows when a venue's installation is complete.
Each job should have an installation manager and an installer assigned to it
Installation managers have access to Chargifi Installer app and can access only those jobs to which an administrator has assigned them.
Installation managers, however, in contrast to installers, can access Chargifi Deploy app to manage their jobs and the associated workflow.
-
Installer
A business role that can be assigned to a general user account in Chargifi Cloud.
An installer is physically on site carrying out the installation in accordance with the approved site survey.
Installers have access to the Installer app but only to the jobs assigned to them. They have read-only permissions.
-
Job
An installation project that involves an installation manager and installers going to a Chargifi-approved site to deploy Spots.
You generate installation jobs in the Deploy app when you create Spots and are prompted to schedule the job on a specific calendar date to trigger a workflow.
-
Network
Chargifi's system of interconnected Spots that are connected and communicate with Chargifi Cloud through various means including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and, with third party systems, using SDKs and webhooks.
The network is structured into an organizational hierarchy of locations in which Spots are deployed.
You create user accounts and roles, along with organizational venues, and finally Spots, all in the network.
You assign network information to venues within your network during the installation process (SSID, MAC address, passwords etc) to enable IoT communications.
-
Organization
In Chargifi Cloud apps, this is the first level in the hierarchy of the network structure.
You must create an organization in Deploy to be able to create the following:
- User accounts
- Spots
- Installation jobs
-
Surface
In Chargifi Cloud apps, this is the fourth level in the hierarchy of the network structure below a zone.
Surfaces allow you to subdivide your zones so that you can monitor your network at a more granular level.
An example of a surface within a workplace zone could be " Reception - Couch" or "Boardroom - Top Desk".
You create surfaces in the Deploy app while creating Spots.
-
Venue
In Chargifi Cloud apps, this is the second level in the hierarchy of the network structure below an organization.
You must create an organization and a venue in Deploy to be able to create the following:
- User accounts
- Spots
- Installation jobs
-
Zone
In Chargifi Cloud apps, this is the third level in the hierarchy of the network structure below a venue.
Zones allow you to subdivide your venues so that you can monitor your network at a more granular level.
An example of a zone at a workplace venue could be " Reception" or "Boardroom".
You create zones in the Deploy app while creating Spots.
