Overview
Alerting is available to help you to manage your network remotely and troubleshoot any issues that may arise with your Spots in different venues.
There are different types of alerts that you can configure to suit your client's needs.
Alert Types
Alert Type | Explanation | How to Resolve the Alert |
Unreachable for over * hours | The Spot has been offline for longer than the length of time set as a threshold value. |
Check the following: |
Session Deviation | A Spot has been in use for longer than a number of hours permitted as a threshold value (usually 12 hours). |
Check that there are no foreign objects near or on the Spot such as keys or metal objects. Note: |
Wi-Fi Signal |
The Wi-Fi signal strength has dropped below the strength permitted in the threshold value. |
Have additional access points closer to the Neutrons and / or Cloud Gateways. |
No activity in over * days |
The Spot hasn't been used for the length of time specified in the threshold value. |
Make sure there is marketing material near the Spot to make people aware of its presence. |
Transmitter Unplugged | The transmitter is not plugged in to the Neutron. |
Inform the site contact that the transmitter needs to be plugged back in to the Neutron. |
Transmitter Miscalibrated |
The Spot needs to be recalibrated. |
Go to Manage -> Spots and search for the Spot in question. Then choose Calibrate. |
Lost Power | There is no source of power being supplied to the Spot. |
Inform the site contact that the Spot needs to be plugged back in again.
|
Isolated Node |
The Spot is located far from the other Spots in the mesh network and is at risk of losing connectivity. |
Consider adding another Cloud Gateway close to this Spot to ensure it doesn't drop off the mesh network. |
