Overview
To continue your deployment process, you now need to create venue for your organization.
Prerequisites
You have:
- The role of administrator
- An organization created in the previous step
Procedure
- In Deploy, go to Network.
- Under Organization List, click the row with the organization you just created in the previous step.
- On the details screen of your organization, click Create a Venue.
Optional
Enter the name of the venue, otherwise a street address will be displayed in Chargifi Cloud apps for the venue unless you enter a specific name.
Note
The following information detailed in steps 4 to 8 are mandatory. - Assign one installation company to your venue.
You already created the installation company or companies when you created the organization in the previous step.
However, unlike organization-level assignments which can include multiple assignments of many-to-one installation companies to organizations, venues have a one-to-one relationship with installation companies. - Select a business industry.
- Select a type of venue.
- Enter a time period for the venue during which maintenance can safely be performed.
Note
This maintenance time will need to be correct and fit the time zone you'll be entering for the venue street address data further down the screen. - Select one of the following three Charging Options for the entire venue:
Charging Option Explanation Related Settings
Open ChargingAnyone can charge their devices. None. *Gated Charging Users can access charging only if they first download the venue's app.
Activation Time Out
The length of time that should be allowed a user who wishes to charge if their mobile device hasn't been detected by the Spot:
- Minimum threshold value of 30 seconds
- Maximum threshold value of 600 seconds
*Smart Association Anyone can charge their devices, and, users who have a venue-specific app downloaded to enable wireless charging, will be uniquely identified for the venue's business purposes. For example, this could be through a membership login.
Smart Region UUIDs
Smart region UUIDs contain the following:
- Beacon UUID
- Major & Minor values
*Options available with Chargifi Connect license - Minimum threshold value of 30 seconds
- Enter the beacon UUID.
This unique identifier allows you to distinguish the beacons in your network from other beacons outside of your network. Mobile software can use signals received from beacons to trigger their own push notifications to the users in the venue. - Choose Create.
Result
You will see the venue details screen after choosing the Create button:
- You have no active zones or surfaces
- A prompt to add installers to the installation company that you assigned to this venue
You can finish setting up the organizational entities (zones and surfaces) and come back to adding more user accounts later. The next step will be to create zones and surfaces and assign them to the venue that you just created.
